This Brazilian beauty is the perfect example of the Calathea species. Nicknamed the rattlesnake plant because its leaves that almost look to be vibrating the Calathea will add glorious colour to your home or office.

 

  

How To Look After Me

Calathea, originate from the jungles of South America so you should ensure the soil is kept moist and humidity is fairly high. Don't drench your plant all day every day but give it a nice drink twice a week and even mist the leaves if you're feeling extra kind. Calathea is pretty easy just don't let them get too cold as that can kill them off. Above 10 degrees Celsius is ideal.
