Known as the Peacock Plant the Calathea Makoyana comes from the jungles of Brazil. Its vibrant green and purple tones definitely make it one of our favourites. The Peacock Plant can grow up to 1.5m high indoors in the UK. Making this plant the ideal for those that want to develop this into a true specimen. 

 

  

How To Look After Me

Calathea originate from the jungles of South America so you should ensure the soil is kept moist and humidity is fairly high. Don't drench your plant all day every day but give it a nice drink twice a week and even mist the leaves if you're feeling extra kind. Calathea are pretty easy just don't let them get too cold as that can kill them off. Above 10 degrees Celsius is ideal.
